A complete remodelling and extension of a Tudor cottage.

The clients approached us with a vision of extending their family home, introducing contemporary design while maintaining the original tudor characteristics of the house.

Currently under construction, the project involves extending the existing house through a double storey side, single storey rear and loft extension whilst carrying out a full refurbishment of the home.

The design approach throughout the project has been guided by a brief developed with the client to establish their requirements whilst fully embracing the potential of the site.

The design and concept was based upon marrying the original Tudor characteristics with contemporary architecture, in turn, enhancing the internal/external connection for key living spaces. Furthermore, the site benefit from expansive views overlooking the hilly landscape of south London. Bringing these views internally across the ground and top floors were a key design driver throughout the project.
